PLUGGED IT IN , AND FUNNY SOUND CAME FROM IT FOR APPROX 4 DVD VIEWINGS; AFTER THAT THE ANNOYING SOUND LEFT. NOW IT'S AS QUIET AS A MAYTAG DISHWASHER!! NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER, & STILL WORKS

I knew I was in trouble when the order was non-refundable. The DVD player whirs loudly and doesn't play DVD's. The customer service for RMA numbers did return a call, but I was on the road and didn't have the serial number available. No reply after leaving a message on And***'s extension...will probably have a better experience when I call again...but I am expecting Christmas returns might swamp the system.

I bought this DVD player for my 2 yr old's room. Although her tv is tiny the picture is very clear. It took me a minute to figure out how to hook everything up but everything is working just fine. I was a little worried about buying something refurbished but Toshiba is a brand I know and trust. The buttons on the front of the DVD player are a little basic; with just play, eject, and stop I believe. The remote is a lot more elaborate but still easy to use. I think this was a great deal and I recommend it.
