I just got the Tomtom for X-mas and so far it has worked great. I love the option to download the voices from their website and now I am given directions from a woman with a British accent. It makes driving more fun. The colors and features are great! Would recommend!

The text to speech is very convenient especially when u are driving alone and have no one else to navigate. The 'points of interest' near a location is useful on long trips for planning break stops etc. The only thing I thought is missing is the voice does not say how far u have to go before u take an exit/turn. For eg. If I were to go 15 Miles on a highway and take exit #15...the GPS would tell me to get on the highway ,but doesn't say anything until I am actually close to exit #15. One good thing about the Tom Tom GPS is that when u put a destination address, u can see the text summary of complete driving direction from starting point to the destination. Overall ,definitely worth the price .

I finally got around to purchasing the tom tom because i was waiting for a decent price which i found on overstock. I just used it for the first time this past weekend and was very impressed with it. To be honest i only was interested in a tomtom as opposed to other brands because i had a cat with that name who lived to be twenty five years old. He was the best and so is this gps.

I have had this for a month now. It works great once your able to hook up the USB cable to it. The jack for the USB line is in the worst place, at the very bottom of the gps. It is so far in the it will take you forever to line up the cable to the USB port in the gps. I get upset when I try to get the thing in and no I don't have fat fingers.They send you a USB cable with a 45 degree angle on it and trying to fit it in is a real pain in the neck!! This was not a well thought out design at all!! What were they thinking?? The jack should be on the side or top with a straight on USB connection. I called and asked if they can send me another USB straight cable, they said that's all it comes with. I told them of this very poor design, they said they will pass that info on. Big deal right. Other than that daily problem it works fine.

Once again, Overstock.com has provided a top of the line item at an unbelievable price. I got the GPS for my daughter who is doing a summer internship as a news reporter. She was constantly getting lost. This GPS has solved all those problems. There was no setup difficulty and since she is fluent in German, she programed it to speak in German. I traveled with her last weekend and was amazed at how well it guides you. I loved the advance notice of upcoming turns and corrective directions if you decide to make a detour for shopping! Ha! Now I have to have one for myself. Thanks so much Overstock!

Excellent GPS! The price was great and it is very easy to use. Take it out of the box and it is ready to go! The voice is very clear and the screen is a good size for viewing. This is my first GPS and I am very pleased!

Mine worked great..BUT..when I bought the Fuel Prices for my trip..it wouldn't do it..after being on hold with TomTom..they had me send it back & I got another one from them which wouldn't do the fuel prices either..so to save you hours of being on hold & stress..I wouldn't buy the Fuel Prices from TomTom! Other than that..I LOVE it!

Good product for it's money....Only complaint is the downloading of the new maps. Should have a better plan for updated maps. Other than that very cool product

We love using our Tom-Tom and get a kick out of the different voices and accents. When I tried to do my first free map update on the computer, the website would not let me do this. I remember reading someone eles's review who had the same problem. There wasn't any special code enclosed with my unit either. I did find local errors in the maps on Tom-Tom. The map has a Mall close to my home that has been gone for a long time. Overall, the device has helped us on recent adventures and was accurate. We are glad that we purchased this device. The mount that comes with the GPS, is not good. The GPS has fallen off the dash board a couple times. We are looking into purchasing a different mount.

Love the larger screen. sound loud enough to hear. even works out here in middle of nowhere. easy to connect to computer for updates. also puchased a dash holder didn't like the window option. Would recomment.

I got this for my grandson (20 yrs old) who is always getting lost and then getting tickets because he is speeding to his destination. I got this for Christmas present. When he opened the gift he ran out to his car to play with it with no coat on. I could have slapped him silly but he was so happy with his gift. He delivers for his job so now he cannot get lost and can find his way back to grandma's house.

Works great for the directionally challenged set. My son even found a friend's house in the country that the utility company could not locate. Love the technology! Great buy too!

This served a purpose when I purchased it (as well as the replacement I bought fter the first one was stolen at the Emergency Room entrance!). Cool features like "get in the far left lane to exit" - well in advance of when needed and it talks to you. However; I was never successful at having it speak the street names to me... My disappointment is not in this GPS specifically, but with the lot of them that require you to purchase annual updates to the maps - which cost almost as much as the initial purchase! I now use my Droid (phone) and the Navigation feature on it. I know it is always current (map-wise), it doesn't cost me anything (free app), and I always remove my phone from the car when I arrive at my destination (limits opportunity for it to grow legs...)

Bought this for my 19 year old, driving from IL to CA. The GPS was easy to start, came with concise instructions, and was extremely helpful getting him to his destination. The unit arrived promptly, and was a reasonably priced Christmas gift. TomTom also bought me some peace of mind, knowing that the kids wouldn't lose their way so far from home. Thanks once again, Overstock!

This Tom Tom works great. I ordered the additional dashboard piece, and didn't know it is already included with the Tom Tom. The only thing that I don't like about this Tom Tom is that it takes a minute to recalculate a route and it does not continously tell you if you are on the correct route. If you are, it just assumes you are and one just has to continue going that way until the GPS tells you otherwise. This can be misleading if in a strange city or state and not knowing for sure whether or not one goes the correct way.

This item works great, and has a big screen. I was excited to see that we had a free upgrade to get the latest maps, but was dissappointed after connecting to the web site to hear that our upgrade was "out of date" and that upgrades are going to cost us $79.00 more! That being said, we have not found it to be missing any of the streets that we have asked it to find, so I am not going to upgrade at this point. I just don't like "hidden fees" very well.

Excellent product that works as advertised. This is the second one I own.

I own an older model Magellan and wanted to get something more up to date. The TomTom brand came highly recommended by some of my friends. Overstock had the best price. I saw the same product (refurbished) for almost the same price. I'm very pleased with this GPS. The only negative thing that I found was that the mount didn't stick to the windshield very well. When I called TomTom about that, all they said that I could by a new mount w/redundant accessories for $30. Overstock had a better mount for a much cheaper price.
