This Tom Tom works great. I ordered the additional dashboard piece, and didn't know it is already included with the Tom Tom. The only thing that I don't like about this Tom Tom is that it takes a minute to recalculate a route and it does not continously tell you if you are on the correct route. If you are, it just assumes you are and one just has to continue going that way until the GPS tells you otherwise. This can be misleading if in a strange city or state and not knowing for sure whether or not one goes the correct way.

This item works great, and has a big screen. I was excited to see that we had a free upgrade to get the latest maps, but was dissappointed after connecting to the web site to hear that our upgrade was "out of date" and that upgrades are going to cost us $79.00 more! That being said, we have not found it to be missing any of the streets that we have asked it to find, so I am not going to upgrade at this point. I just don't like "hidden fees" very well.

I own an older model Magellan and wanted to get something more up to date. The TomTom brand came highly recommended by some of my friends. Overstock had the best price. I saw the same product (refurbished) for almost the same price. I'm very pleased with this GPS. The only negative thing that I found was that the mount didn't stick to the windshield very well. When I called TomTom about that, all they said that I could by a new mount w/redundant accessories for $30. Overstock had a better mount for a much cheaper price.

This is a great deal for such a high quality gps. There are many features that you can download and add to customize your gps. It is much better thann my dad's Garmin! Although one down side is that sometimes it doesn't have certain locations on there and it doesn't always give right directions. But otherwise it is very nice!

After reviewing features, asking for input from friends and relatives and investigating price vs. features I decided to buy this unit. I call him Tom! I took a recent trip to an unfamiliar area and Tom was a must have. I am usually nervous in unfamiliar territory but I was at ease this entire trip. Tom took great care of us.It was very easy to learn to use, the web site support and shopping is helpful and easy to navigate. The booklet that came with the unit was minimal but with all the necessary information to get me started.I highly recommend a GPS and I very highly recommend this TomTom GPS.

I've had this for a couple of weeks now and really like it. Wished I had bought it sooner, as I got lost at my last out of town trip and had to ask for directions. Although I've only used it in town so far, I know it'll be great for out of town trips and can't wait to use it for one. Glad I made this purchase. Now I won't be needing to ask for directions.
I was determined NOT to buy a Tom Tom because of the irritating commericals they had............however, when looking for a GPS system they seemed to have more of what I was looking in the price range.It was very easy to set up, the maps are however, very out of date (resturants appeared near my home that have not been there for years). I have not yet figured out how to get the latest maps from the web site. Once we do that I am sure that it will be even more useful.I have now used it a couple times and it seems to work just fine, got me there with out getting lost or needing to turn around.Just a note; I didn't find it easy to locate a gorcery store, seems you need to know the shopping center? might just be my lack of experience.

The system was easy to set up and following the directions was a breeze. However, the product I was sent was NOT new in the box. I could tell that the box had been re-taped, the CD was missing, the instruction booklet was stuck together/had a water stain on it and the charger had been re-wrapped. Also there is a code for a free map download that is supposed to be valid for 30 days from the date you start using the device but when I went to the Tom Tom website and put in the code it said my free download had already expired. The only way this could have happened was if someone already used the navigation system and returned it.

The text to speech is very convenient especially when u are driving alone and have no one else to navigate. The 'points of interest' near a location is useful on long trips for planning break stops etc. The only thing I thought is missing is the voice does not say how far u have to go before u take an exit/turn. For eg. If I were to go 15 Miles on a highway and take exit #15...the GPS would tell me to get on the highway ,but doesn't say anything until I am actually close to exit #15. One good thing about the Tom Tom GPS is that when u put a destination address, u can see the text summary of complete driving direction from starting point to the destination. Overall ,definitely worth the price .

I used the TomTom One XL-S on our recent vacation and found it to be extremely helpful. So much so that I bought another for my son. It has all of the required details programmed in it that I find spending more for an updated, more expensive GPS system unnecessary.

I had the phone navigation system for years and gave it great praise... Until.... it got me lost twice... I followed the phone without choice, because I was truly lost, I mean the corn fields, cow pastures and the whole bit.I decided after some research to get the TomTom unit. I used the unit to get from the same location as the phone and it actually got me to my distination faster and more direct.I thought it was a little on the expensive side. The touch screen is easy to navigate and the points of interest along the route made it easy to find rest areas and gas stations etc.After considering the angrish and frustration of being lost, not once but twice, I'd say it was worth the money.

I finally got around to purchasing the tom tom because i was waiting for a decent price which i found on overstock. I just used it for the first time this past weekend and was very impressed with it. To be honest i only was interested in a tomtom as opposed to other brands because i had a cat with that name who lived to be twenty five years old. He was the best and so is this gps.

This is a very easy to use GPS system. I am very happy with my purchase. The only very small negative thing is that sometimes the voice cannot pronounce the street names correctly... but that doest not really matter since one can look at the map to see where one is.
THIS TOM TOM IS A VERY GOOD AND USEFUL PRODUCT..WE'VE WENT ON VACATION TWICE THIS MONTH AND THE TOM TOM HAS NOT GOT US LOST YET..WE LOVE IT..IT IS VERY RELIABLE ..AND THE BEST PRICED AROUND.. I'VE SHOPPED AROUND AND YOU CAN'T BEAT IT...THE VOICE TO VOICE SPEAKING IS A VERY NICE OPTION.....
