Missing OS
This is a very good computer at a very good price. However it arrived without the operating system and no recovery disk. Overstock was very good about giving me a decent discount to keep it. I am a computer tech so I was able to get it to run but for most people, it would be useless. I have purchased 5 or 6 similar computers in the past, this is the first that had this problem. Refurbished IBM computers are really good value for your money but this one slipped past quality control and the average user would have to return it. I was very pleased with Overstock customer service in dealing with this issue.

Oldie but goodie
I bought this machine as a backup and software development laptop. Installed Ubuntu Linux on it and it has been running great. I was surprised when I first opened the box. No scratches, no dents. The thing would look like new, if it wasn't for the worn out labels on the back. For some reason, Windoze wouldn't install, but who cared as long as Ubuntu worked out of the box? The battery is great. Under heavy usage, I still get 4.5 hours with the LCD at minimum settings. Also, it can hibernate for more than 30 hours. Despite its relatively low video memory (32 MB), I was able to watch DVDs and youtube videos at the same time with no lags. Definitely money well spent. I will recommend this product to any person I know.
