Testrite PC2436CC 24 x 36 Color Correct Light Box

I have wanted a large light box to transfer my drawings to linen. My only way of tracing the drawings was to tape them to my front door glass and tape the linen over the drawing and trace it. Of course, this only worked on sunny days and some of the designs were quite large. It was always my least favorite part of designing. So when I had saved enough money, I started looking online at light boxes and saw Testrite boxes. I was impressed by how they looked and found that the larger ones, 24" by 36" were fairly expensive. I got a break at overstock.com, however and ordered one for well under half the usual listed price. It arrived in good condition and it's beautiful. It's nicely finished with white enamel, the handle on the side is secure, the plexiglass is thick and strong and the depth of the box itself isn't too thick: I can lean over it comfortably on my work table. It's really an amazing tool. I set it up already and did my first drawing on it. I think it will be well worth every penny I spent on it. If there were any drawbacks, I was annoyed that the plexiglass sheet was coated with a paper adhesive that extended to the edges of the plexiglass under the protective lip of the top of the box. I had to unscrew it at one end, take the edge off, pull the plexiglass out, peel off the adhesive, and then slide the plexi back into the groove at the other end. Because it is so large, the plexi bowed and made it difficult to get it evenly back into the groove. Once I got that done, I had to screw the edge piece back on, stripping one of the screws. It shouldn't affect the use, but it was a pain in the rear to have to do this as soon as I got the product. That being said, it was a minor issue and I'm very pleased with the integrity of the light box. I would recommend it to anyone.
