By utilizing the Wi-Fi Phone with a VoIP service plan, both home and business users have the potential to dramatically reduce local and long distance telephone charges compared to a standard telephone service. In addition, the Wi-Fi Phone is a PsipTN compliant device that allows you to make and receive free calls within the PsipTN network (anticipated availability by August 2006 via firmware upgrade and 1-Year free subscription is included). PsipTN also allows you to receive calls from regular phones for free. Use the Wi-Fi Phone for business or talk to family and friends from virtually anywhere in the world.

First off, hats off to OverStock.Com for top notch customer service and a great support staff. The first phone had a defect and they replaced it P*D*Q with a new one. The 540 performance is a reflection of the WIFI system it is working off. It doesn't work well with my DLink WIFI router, but works FABULOUS at WIFI HotSpot and selected work sites. Battery life falls way short. Setup is a mild pain in the butt, but once it is set up, it is simple to use. My complaint is with DLink support (7 phone calls to get to Level 3 support) who never came up with any helpful answers.
