Being used to Swedish quality with regard to furniture, I was in for a big surprise when I picked up this comparably priced TV Stand from Techcraft. The first hint that there was a bit of quality was in the weight. This thing weighs 98 lbs! After getting a couple friends to help me move the box from the door to my TV room, I started assembling. The next sign of quality was in the hardware packaging. I'm used to getting a plastic baggy full of parts, but these were sorted in a blister pack making it easy to keep find the necessary parts when needed. I started assembling and everything lined up perfectly, except one thing, which I'll mention later. The pieces were all labeled with letters that corresponded to the instructions and I didn't even have to read the instructions more than once to figure them out. The assembly was typical bang it together and twist the locking nut, but the quality of the hardware was far superior to the Swedish stuff. Now about the 4 stars on ease of operation. I'm going to change that to "Ease of Assembly." I dropped a star because putting the back on, while not your typical cardboard backing, was a pain in the rear. The holes didn't line up and I ended up forging my own trail. While difficult it all still looks good.Enjoy!
