i bought this product and at first thought it was going to be great like some of the other ones i've used and bought for friends. This one however was made of cheap plastic. After about 3 wks one of the fans stopped working. Also unless you have your laptop fans in the middle and off to the sides this really isn't going to do anything for cooling your laptop

I usually use my laptop on my legs and it gets pretty hot. This cooling pad totally relieves me of that problem. I have a 17 in laptop so this pad is smaller than my laptop but does not seem to be a problem. My only complaint is that it sometimes seems to draw too much power from the computer and you have to make sure to not turn it on until the computer is sufficiently warmed up. The pad is lightweight and fits into my bag with the computer without difficulty.i

The product arrive on time and was packaked thoroughly to avoid damage. The Targus notebook cooling chill mat works great. It runs very quietly and really help save on my laptop battery. I am able to surf the web longer because my laptop doesn't work as hard because it doesn't overheat . My husband like the results so much that he asked me to order one for his laptop.

This was purchased mainly as a device to insulate my laptop computer heat from my legs when using the computer on my lap. This Targus cooling mat not only keeps my lap cool but also keeps my computer cool because of the two built in fans that direct air at the air intakes on the bottom of my laptop. It is simple to setup and use. The value is excellent and it performs as advertised. This is a must to prolong the life of your computer electronics and also if you want to keep cool! Shipping and Handling fees from Overstock are a real bargain. I couldn't be more pleased with this product.

Very Easy to use and worked very well.. Dissipated heat from the notebook as it was used for over 6 hours with no break. Would recommend this light and useful and effective product to any who have heat issues with their notebooks. Was used on two different Notebooks .

This is my 2nd cooling mat--the first died b/c the power supply cord was wimpy and broke after a few months. This one is definitely sturdier--keep in mind though, most mats aren't going to last much more than a year or so with heavy use. -Mighty Mouse

I'm a first time laptop owner and was concerned about the heat it generates. I purchased this product and i don't even notice any heat now. It works great. Only down side is it is a little noisy.

I was wary of buying any of these laptop cooling products because of bad reviews about a different, but similar ,product. This product is plastic, but does not seem flimsy. It really improves my laptop's performance by keeping it cool. It couldn't be easier to use, just plug it into the USB port. Keeps my leg cool too! It is plastic, and I would recommend handling it with a reasonable amount of care, but it seems pretty sturdy. At the Overstock price, it's really worth it!

The little fans keep my laptop cool for the most part. However, sometimes the fan makes a lot of noise, and I have to stop it using my finger and then the noise goes away. It's not that big of a deal. Even though the cooling mat has a small gap in between itself and the laptop, I wish it were separated a little bit to allow more air flow, but that's my opinion. All in all, this cooling mat will keep your laptop from reheating too much making it perform much better.
