We are definitely glad that we purchased this case as the one our dvd player came in was very flimsy. This one has a very tough case, yet it isn't bulky or hard. It has a nice appearance too. The only complaint about it is that it barely fits my 8.5" player, battery and 2 headphones... they end up getting pretty squished and there is barely room for some discs. I wish there was a separate pocket inside for these items. But, since I wanted a case that wasn't huge, this one is working very well for us.
