    The USB itself works fine, but only when close to the modem. I bought this for my room (which is down stairs, the modem is up stairs) and it had fairly bad and slow connection. However it works great with my other computer, which is up stairs, somewhat, near the modem.

    This thing works great! In a new stucco home still gets 95 and higher connection on a split floor plan and the router is on the other end of the house. I bought this for a customer and he loves it. The size is amazingly small about 3/4 of an inch long- so its not very easy to break it from it sitting in the usb port. the price and range is excellent. Plus the software is way user friendly and has alot of detail about your connection! Get it if ur looking for a wireless replacement!!

    I did some research online on ways to upgrade my girlfriends laptop to wireless N and set my eyes on this TRENDnet Mini Wireless N Speed USB Adapter as a good choice. After telling my sister about it she agreed with me on the value and told me she wanted one too.So I ordered 2 from overstock.com they got here in no time, installation was quick and they work as well as I hoped.If you want an easy upgrade to wireless N that you can use for a laptop or home desktop and that wont cost a lot, this is an awesome buy. :)
