Unfortunately, my near new G1 chipped on the front edge. I don't even recall doing anything that might have caused it. Why don't they make phones out of polycarbonate? Anyway, couldn't bear looking at the chip and needed to prevent future damage. Bought this case. Honestly, I'm not sure it's polycarbonate, but it's not bad looking. It fits better than expected. It does add bulk but, that's not too bad either. It's okay, not too expensive and fits better than expected. It did make it a very tight fit in my leather case initially. However, that case has stretched out . So, that's not bad either. I recommend it. In my opinion, it's preferable to a chipped phone.
