I bought these for my husband to use in bed at night while I'm trying to sleep. He likes them and I can't hear anything lying right next to him. They work for what we bought them for.

Before buying this product i was reading reviews about it which are not very convincing. But still i bought it and they are really excellent and easy to use, sound quality is also nice and radio is also perfect. What i learned from the reviews that the people dont know how to connect this device which is very simple also. If you want to hear from TV you need to connect it to the cable box instead of the TV if you have the cable box. And thats all you need to connect. The manual has all the instructions. Thank you Sylvania and Overstock buy from you again.

In a time where inexpensive often translates to cheap, it is good to find an inexpensive product that offers value. Battery usage, this puppy will chew threw generic batteries like no tommorrow. Get yourself a good set of "hi-power" Alkaline batteries and they last about a week of solid use (including children leaving the durn things on) The range is decent, I find that good quailty reception is about half the rated 100 feet, but this is in an appartment with metal studs in the walls, so not totally unexpected. The radio is a nice add. For a bulky as the ear cups are, this is quite a comfortable wear. They are lighter than they look and more durable than you'd expect.

Listening to TV is great without disturbing others. The only problem I have is that I have a TV/DVD combo & I haven't been able to figure out how to watch a movie with the headset. This is the only drawback.

Great pair of earphones for listening to the TV after the spouse has gone to sleep. The late night arguments are over. 'Turn it down' is a thing of the past. I've had these a while and haven't had to change the batteries yet. The transmitter is small and easily installed. The headphones are comfortable. They are the most comfortable head set I have ever owned. My only changes to the headset might be to give the volume control less sensitivity in the lower ranges and to move the volume control to the side or front of the headset because it occasionally moves when sitting back in a chair. Value for money= I am more than content.

A wonderful headset, so I can sleep while my husband watches his nightly movie in bed. Sound quality is pretty good. He mentioned the first time he tried them, that if it was very loud he coul hear a slight humming int he background, but it wasn't anything to deter him fromt he product. It also plays the radio, so you could use it for working out at home too. A really good value, as we have searched for one for a while and they were all above $50.

So far, Great! I put batteries in the box and before all the gifts were open, my nephew had the headphones on tunes to a local radio station. Not sure I'm happy that I am contributing to teenage antisocial behavior, but I definitely won the best gift award!

Super, wife uses it to walk around house and clean cook ext., while listening to her NCIS, or music from the cable box, has great range and she can garden and still keep up with Dr. Oz on tv.

Our TV Ears ($80) broke after 12 months. We purchased replacement battery from TV Ears Company, as that was the only place we could find them, and the cost was $30 with shipping. After installing the new battery, our TV Ears still did not work. I noted after searching on the Internet for reviews, that the TV Ears breaking after a year is common. Unless you purchase their expensive warranty program, you now have a broken product that does not work - and need to return battery. However, the Sylvania Wireless Headphones are many strides ahead of TV Ears. The Sylvania Headphones use AAA batteries which are reasonable and easy to replace. The reception is clear, and the distance from receiver to headphones is true (100 feet). The Sylvania Headphones are more comfortable than the TV Ears, and is user friendly = easy to understand and use. Extremely happy with the Sylvania Wireless Headphones and would definitely purchase this product again.

My husband complained when I listened to tv while on treadmill because I would turn it up so I could hear it over treadmill noise. The sound would drift upstairs & interfere with his tv watching. These headphones have solved the problem. No more complaints !!!

This is well worth the money. I had another wireless headphone system that cost me over $150 but the headphones fell apart after a year. These Sylvania have a good a sound quality, decent range, and is simple to set up and operate. The ear cushions are comfortable and fit well. They actually sound better than my expensive pair which had background hiss sometimes and they didn't receive FM radio either. I like the fact the receiver uses batteries instead of a power cord so you can easily move it from room to room and not worry about searching for open electrical outlet. Best bang for your heard earned buck here!

I am very happy with this product. My fiancee goes to bed quite a bit earlier than me and it was driving us both crazy. For her, the tv was too loud; for me, I couldn't hear a word that was said on the tv. These earphones were a fantastic solution. The price was great and the sound quality and comfort is fantastic. I was NOT able to hear anything that was on the tv. I currently have a roommate. I thought I would buy some wireless headphones so I wouldn't bother my roomie with my late night tv watching. HA! I have NEVER been able to hear anything other than 1 radio station that is it. I didn't buy these to hear the radio (which btw even that was static). I wish I knew what the people did that gave this a good review to make it work properly. I would give it ZERO if I was allowed to I don't think it even deserves the 1 star we have to give it.

easy to set up for use, and good sound quality. i only rated it average because my ears hurt after just a few minutes of wear. i would recommend the product with that caveat because the price was good and the sound quality great for the purpose.

We like the headphones it lets us walk around the house and still listen to TV. Most of the time thats all you need. Love the sets.
