I work out in a pool every day, not necessarily swimming, but doing 90 minutes of activities and having some music to help break up the routine is much appreciated. The device holds 2GB of mp3 or WMA files, which at a reasonable bit rate should hold as much music as you could want. I have a lot of digital music, but don't intend to put every kind on here . . . just the upbeat workout kind (although some might prefer the Vivaldi and New Age relaxation style in the pool). My one caveat about the design concerns the band that hold the earbuds to your head. It doesn't adjust, and appeared too small for my noggin when I first tried it, but after a little coaxing around the ears and with the whole of it where it's designed to sit, it fit snugly, but not uncomfortably. The few buttons make for simple operation, and since there's no screen to display any info, you're left to your own devices, or the device's devices, rather, to load songs in a particular alphabetical order if you have a preference for a playlist. (by renaming the files in a numerical sequence, for example). It's easy enough to skip a song with a simple press of the "+" button. The main part of the played hangs around the neck like a pendant, and so remains in easy reach. I could conceive of a player entirely contained in a headset, but this design works rather well for my purposes.I haven't exhausted the charge life of the unit, but then again I will probably charge it after every session or two.The sound is remarkably good using the supplied headset, but beware of getting water into the ear canal, as it quickly reduces the sound quality and comfort of the earbuds. A good seal is vital! Overall, the price is right and the performance more than meets my expectations!
