A previous answer about the amount of RAM was incorrect. 4GB is the amount of regular memory this tablet has, not Random Access Memory. A tablet runs on two major types of memory: Random Access Memory (RAM) and memory. The two are necessary to basic computer functions. RAM (usually 512MB, 1GB, or 2GB) is short-term, temporary memory, while the other memory (usually 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB) is long-term and is where your pictures, music, and files are stored permanently. I researched this on Google, and I believe it pertains to communication. This is what I found: "As of mid 2009, the majority GPS (Global System for Mobile or Groupe Speciale Mobile) and CDMA mobile telephones in the United States operated on the 2G network. 2G is an acronym which means "second generation." 2G phones use a digital signal transmitted from radio transmission towers, as opposed to 1G mobile phones, which used analog signals. Although 2G phones have greater data transmission capabilities than 1G phones, the capacity is limited."
