Charge takes long time, but I recommend it 2u
I bought this for an iPod Touch. This AC home charger TAKES LONGER than Apple's AC home charger (used my son's to compare). I have not tried the DC car charger. I'll estimate Apple's takes 30 minutes; this unit takes 45-60 minutes. I've used this unit (AC) almost daily for about 30 days thus far. With that said, I recommend this unit with the assumption you DO NOT need a faster re-charge cycle. If you require a fast re-charge, spend the $$$ on the official ipod unit. I like the coiled cord that came with this. Handy - less, smaller is better. Realistically, I believe it will eventually break and I will revert to the USB cord which came with the Touch (its compatible with this unit). This unit has a red lite to indicate it is plugged in to an AC line. Useful especially as it takes the Touch "several moments" for the Touch battery to show this unit is recharging the Touch battery. Overall I think the technical specs of this unit are slightly less / slower than Apple's unit - hence explaining this unit's longer re-charge cycle and Touch's battery taking "several moments" for the Touch battery to show this unit is recharging the Touch battery.

Does Not Work
I plugged the Car adapter and does not charge the new iPhone 3G, same thing with the home adapter, the power light comes on, but then nothing, does not charge the new iPhone. Also I tried to charge my USB based iPod Shuffle, same thing, does not charge.

Works great!
THIS WORKS WITH IPHONE 3G!!!! I bought this simply for the USB car charger, hoping that my iphone 3G cable would work with the charger. It works perfectly, and the included retractable cable works and charges too. This is perfect for what I need, so 5 stars!

all in one
What I liked about this product is the fact that it was all in one package. Also, if you have checked prices on other ipod chargers - then you KNOW how much they cost - this was affordable. Also, no long cords that just get in the way. Great product.

Very versatile
i love that this package comes with so many ways to connect your iPod to charging devices (car, computer, or just plug it into the wall) My only complaint is that the part of the wire that plugs into the base of my iPod is a little hard to un-plug sometimes.

doesn't work as it should
I was dissapointed with this kit, and will not buy another iphone product from overstock again because of the quality of this kit.

You get what you pay for. Cheap cheap cheap.
Flimsy cheap piece of garbage....I feel like I could have found the same quality of product in a coin-slot vending machine. Pros: it is light weight and it does work. Con: when I plugged the power supply, particularly the power adapter, the component would totally heat up...intuitively, it didn't feel very safe to me! I would not leave this charged in the wall or car unattended. It might combust and cause a fire!

Good price, but if you have a Otter cover for your iPhone or iPod it will not work. You can only use the original style charger
