Bought this to transfer photos to my computer--so far it works fine--for the price it's a great buy.

  • Awesome card reader and portability

This is excellent because it works well and is compact for travel or just general storage. Once you push the SD card it, then part that plugs into the USB port comes out. The SD card basically pushes the metal part out. Nice feature. The only drawback I had was that I kept receiving a message that I did not have a program to read it. I instead just used my photo program and imported the pix. This worked just fine.

Purchased this card reader with high hopes based on previous reviews. Initially the product worked flawlessly with amazing 3.0 speeds. However, after about 20 uses, the reader is not recognized when plugged in and no lights on the reader indicate any power. Tried multiple machines (thought maybe a USB port on my machine as bad), but no luck. Even tried multiple USB cables, but all with the same outcome - dead device. Normally I have not had any problems with U.S. Robotic devices, but this one failed to impress me. Too bad, it was a great device when it worked.

I have three of these and carry all on my key chain. Some people feel this is foolish, but it is important to me to always have my flash drives and not discover the one I need was left at home. Drives with plastic cases and moveable parts break. Plastic key ring holes break. This jump drive is all metal and has no moving parts. The oldest one I have has not failed in more than a year of use. If you want a flash drive on your keychain, this is the one.
