Philips Micro Stereo System w/ DVD Player (Refurb)

I bougyt this unit for my daughter's room and it workks great. I put it on the wall next to her TV and she loves it. It gives good sound and she has no problems woriking the DVD player. We had a little problem with the subwoofer but Overstock sent out another one by Fedex rush and it has worked fine since. I would recomment the extended warranty for peace of mind. Overall I have a very happy 8 yr old using it!

Good News First! The sound is great! Clarity,Bass,treble and midrange sounds are very clear and crisp.Even at low volume levels.Has the sound of many pieces of Hi-Fi equipment that are twice the size and price. Now the bad news...Refurbished or reconditioned I understand.But mine was downright USED! There is a big scratch on the bottom middle of the frame of the "Body",and a very noticeable Dent on the left corner! It would be one thing if I was clumsy enough to do that ,But I didn't.Also if it's "Refurbished",The glitches should be taken care of.Not on my system!The cd mechanism sounds like a Walkman from the early 90's,I don't get it...I'll explain...I have played 3 cds so far.One can here the motor "Buzzing" behind the music when you have a quiet cd on,Such as baroque,or a classical trio. Maybe I just got a bum.But it was sent to me and shouldn't have been sent to anyone! It's a very nice product! But Used is Used,Not Refurbished!
