This tripod has a great height fluctuation to fit my tall husband and my short height. At it's tallest height it remains secure and strong unlike others I had seen in some stores. When shopping for a good quality, tall tripod in camera shops; the prices were much higher or I was told it would be special order only. We found that it holds our camera as well as a camcorder very well.
You can always trust the Sony brand, and this is no exception. This tripod is sturdy, yet easy to use and adjust. I also like that there are many different height availabilities and it seems to go taller than others I've seen.
It is pretty light-weight. But it does require an effort to unfold it. So it is not very convenient in a crowded place if you just want to use for a quick clip or a snap.
Overall, I am happy with the product.
