Sony VAIO VGN-N230E/B Laptop (Refurb)

I have had the laptop for about a month now and it is ok. The mouse pad is not very good. Sometimes it does not want to respond. Also, I feel that sony waisted a lot of space around the key board. The screen is nice and it is ok, but not great.

The only thing that needs to be done is the memory will need to be upgraded in my laptop. 1GB is not enough to run Windows Vista, but overall I am completely satisfied. The price couldn't be beat and the quality is perfect considering the machine is refurbished. I would recommend Overstock.COM to anyone.

I was looking for a laptop for work and had a fairly limited budget; after substantial research I purchased this unit. So far my experience has been wonderful. Shipping was on time and the product was not only what was promised but in fact was a moderate upgrade due to what I understand was a stock shortage. I was suspicious as to whether or not it was an actual "upgrade" but looked into it and in fact that was true. The laptop is so far fast, reliable, and ergonomically well designed. I would and do recommend Overstock and this computer to friends and family.

I did research about what to look for in a laptp. This one seemed to have everything I needed. However, I didn't do enough research on the sound card installed on this notebook. It is a very basic, simple sound card that does not allow for upgrades unless you take it apart and install a new one. That is way over my head. Also, the description I read stated battery power lasted 5.5 hours. In reality it lasts about 2 hours and it is even stated that way on the Sony website. This was totally misrepresented on the Overstock description. I also did a more through search when Overstock sent me an"upgraded laptop" from the one I ordered. Turns out I paid the highest price out there for this laptop. I found them for $200 cheaper almost everywhere else. But...I know prices fluctuate. I like it. I works.
