I bought this combo because my grandchildren love some of the vhs movies my kids grew up with. It is so easy to change between vhs and dvd. The buttons are rather small and could be marked a little better, but other than that it is an incredible value. Even though it was refurbished it came looking like new and playing like new. I am very happy with my purchase and with a brand name like Sony for this price, wow!!!

There's a new generation of VCR's that don't have tuners. They're designed to work from separate inputs such as TIVO's or DVR's. The VCR works great and is one of those that doesn't have a tuner. With digital TV coming who knows if VCR's will have digital tuners, or if they'll disappear altogether. It's a good unit and makes good videos.

I dont' expect refurbished items to be perfect, hince the work refurbished, but the item arrived with a huge dent in the casing, the back plate was broken and to top it off, the VCR did not work at all. To end on a positive note, the DVD player did work and was decent. Will be sending back for a refund.

I bought this product and was kind of reluctant. My husband told me not to buy a refurbished product. I didn't listen to him and did it any way. He still doesn't even know that I did. LOL! The product was excellent! Great picture, sound, and everything worked with ease. I hooked it up my self. I did have to buy an extra AV tri color plug for connection, It came with one, I need two. That was not a problem and everything is working just fine. I would recommend it to anyone. I priced this product other sites and it was costing almost 300.00. I also received a year warranty on it. So I feel I did good! Take a chance on REFURBUSHED you might find a GEM like I did!

I got the player right away as always. It was easy hookup and plays beautifully. I am very satisfied so far and would recommend this player to anyone. I have not had a bad experience when purchasing from Overstock.com.

I needed a NEW dvd, because the rented DVD would not play. They said it is to old. So I looked for a combinatio instead of 2 units sitting on the TV. When I read about this Sony I felt it would suite my budget, and I would have them all in one. It has been great. Easy to use, and no unit that won't play.

Looks like a new unit, set-up took only a few minutes, does what it is supposed to. What more could one ask?
