The unit works well with the stereo in my car. It takes a little tweaking to find the sound you
prefer, but bass is awsome. A little hard to adjust with the buttons on the bottom, but when you get used to it , it's not too bad.
I drive a school bus that is equipped with a cassette player. I needed a CD player to work off of that and 12-volt power. This is just about perfect. My biggest concern was that it might skip since buses are not known for their smooth rides. It has never skipped. I'm very pleased. The fact that it is "refurbished" is irrelevant. It works perfectly, the sound is clear. My only complaint is that it is hard to read the labels on the control buttons. But I've now memorized which does what so I'm good to go.
Walkman works great. I use it in my car which still has a casette player and it sounds good. I also like the fact that it doesn't skip every time I hit a bump. I am very pleased.

I'm not an earbud kind of guy. I bought this expressly for the car kit. The system works very well. The sound quality is excellent. The control buttons are small, but well-positioned and it didn't take long to learn to work them by feel alone.
