For a refurbished unit, this is a pretty good CD player. However, it's black and the buttons on it are black and small. It's difficult to see which one does what, especially in low light. The sound is excellent - I would expect nothing less from Sony. Never have a heard a CD skip yet. Too bad it doesn't have a clip to attach to belt or clothing! Price a little high and warranty a little brief for a refurbished unit but I like the player.

I wish that the buttons would be on the top; much easier I think when driving (mostly when the light turns green) ro see the buttons and to press.The window,too, should be on the top so that you can see the volumne,the track number and to know if it's playing.

Purcashed as a gift for my brother. He loves it! It works perfect. and does not skip. Highly recommended.

Since I drive an old car with a tape player, this has been a good solution for listening to audiobooks while driving. It is very steady, never skips. Getting power from the cig lighter is a money saver too.

Skips, won't always read. Inconvenient buttons! Wanted an alternative to replacing car system--this wasn't it!

Works really nice. The sound is really good and the antibounce stuff seems to work very well. I use it exclusively in my car and have yet to have any skip even going over potted roads.

The unit works well with the stereo in my car. It takes a little tweaking to find the sound you prefer, but bass is awsome. A little hard to adjust with the buttons on the bottom, but when you get used to it , it's not too bad.

it is really great, I even dropped it and the CD kept playing---how is that for great?

I drive a school bus that is equipped with a cassette player. I needed a CD player to work off of that and 12-volt power. This is just about perfect. My biggest concern was that it might skip since buses are not known for their smooth rides. It has never skipped. I'm very pleased. The fact that it is "refurbished" is irrelevant. It works perfectly, the sound is clear. My only complaint is that it is hard to read the labels on the control buttons. But I've now memorized which does what so I'm good to go.

Walkman works great. I use it in my car which still has a casette player and it sounds good. I also like the fact that it doesn't skip every time I hit a bump. I am very pleased.

I'm not an earbud kind of guy. I bought this expressly for the car kit. The system works very well. The sound quality is excellent. The control buttons are small, but well-positioned and it didn't take long to learn to work them by feel alone. The system was well worth the money.

Works well. Easy to use. Sound quality is pretty good. As a blind person, I appreciate good sound and ease of use.

I wanted to use it with an external headphone amplifier to replace a similar unit (also bought from overstock 5 years ago) that was stolen from my car. Unfortunately this one does not have a true line out, only the headphone jack. I returned it for this reason.

After receiving this product as gift, and having the opportunity to use it , I have nothing but positive things to say about the product. Good sound quality, minimal interuptions, and no skipping. No indication that it was refurbished whatsoever. ( did not use car kit...kind of an archaeic accessory ).

Besides the fact that it drains battery life a little bit faster than I thought, its quality is top knotch. The features are very easy and the sound quality is excellent. I would have waited a bit longer b4 buying it, only if I knew the price will be dropped...Very excellent buy...
