We love the camera. It is very easy to use as we are not experts. The only thing we don't like is the location of the film. It is on the bottom of the camera. We use a tripod so everytime we change the film, we have to take everything off. Other than that, it is a great value!

I can't recommend this videocamera because it didn't work. We couldn't get the camera to accept the cassette; it wouldn't close. I had bought it so my son would be able to get some great Christmas videos of his son, but because it didn't work, there are no Christmas pictures.. We were told to send it to a camera repair place, but it would cost $141.00 to fix it. I refuse to pay to fix a camera that we couldn't even use.

this is a christmas present so it has not been used at this time, it looks very nice and clean and easy to operate

Although the main reason I bought this product is because of the fact it utilizes Hi-8 tapes and I'm in the process of copying my old tapes onto my hardrive. My old Sony pooped out on me and until I can find someone who can repair it, I needed something fast. This camera allows me to hook up directly to my computer and copy my tapes via the 1394 port. It also allows me to copy my vhs tapes thru this camera onto my computer. The digital zoom is much more then I need but, having the optical zoom is very powerful in itself. Dan

The unit tends to be on the noisy side but the great features make up of for this. The fire wire makes transferring video quick and easy.

Timely delivery. Camcorder looks brand new and is easy to use. Great value for the money. Another great Overstock experience, Looking forward to recording many family memories.

Bought this to replace, not update, a 8yo model. We did not want to spend the money to upgrade to new technology. This is a great little camera. Way nicer and smaller than our previous camera but does not play the Hi8 tapes that are not digital. For the money and the features you can't miss.

I purchased this to use for my daughter's wedding in June. It worked out great. Easy to use but difficult to download to computer. I had my son who is a computer geek try it and we were unsuccessful so, I am a little miffed at how to copy these videos. We ( including my two daughters) read the manual, followed the directions but still were unsuccessful. The same with the TV linkup. But we do have videos. The camera was easy to use. I would recommend it for just the capturing of the events..but beyond that, I still remain a little doubtful.
