This player is more quiet running than most and is very easy to use. The price is so reasonable that I got two: one for my husband and one for me so we don't fight over just one. My husband and I love it. The quality of the sound is very good. While taping cassettes there is no scratching noises or sound fading or pulling of the tape. It is a much classier player than most.

I purchased this boombox because I still had some old cassettes that I wanted to hear and not necessarily convert to cds. This is perfect and the sound is excellent. You really cannot go wrong with Sony.

I wanted an easy to operate boombox for my wife and I to listen to tapes & CDs when we are away from home. This Sony product fit the bill. i would have preferred knob instead of buttons, but the remote works very well

I am glad I purchased this boom box for my wife's birthday. She enjoys listening to her audio book tapes and CD's on it.

This Sony boombox is a quality machine at a great price. It arrived quickly; in time for Christmas. All the features work, and there are no dings or scratches.

This product suits my need. I had a little trouble learning to use the radio features but I got there. I have to take into account my age.

The refurbished CD player looks and plays like new, and I love the remote control...perfect for my singing gigs!

I have cassettes- meditation tapes I still use and enjoy while taking a restful bath. My old portable tape player was on its last legs, as I used it nearly every day for some 18 years. Therefore, I was delighted to find this refurbished Sony model with CD option @ Overstock. It was reasonably priced and I am happy I can continue to use my tapes in this convenient way, all the while not sacrificing quality of sound. Just great!

Works great. I wish I could have determined from the pictures that there are few if any knobs for tuning, volume, etc. - it's all push button and took some getting used to. The display is sort of messed up, like half numbers showing or wrong numbers. Not a big deal to me, but for the price, I might could have found a new one (If I had wanted to search stores by foot versus online). But, it's harder to find a boom box anymore, much less one that does tape and cd. I still have some cassettes from back in the day that I listen to regularly. So overall, a good value and good sound, etc. I was just a little disappointed in the push button operation features and display.

The CD works great, the AM and FM have trouble with some distant broadcasters, but is clear on most local channels.

I have enjoyed the great sound and the fact that I can play my cassettes and CDs using the battery powered feature while I'm lying in my hammock reading a book.We live up in the mountains where it is sometimes hard to get a good signal on the AM band, but this radio does a good job when it is turned in the right direction, so I can lie out under the Colorado blue skies and listen to Rush Limbaugh!!!

We bought one and my wife liked it so much we bought another. Very portable, good sound, compact remote - like the styling and color, too. No scratches - just like new.
