Best for the price SLIK 700DX has always been a photographer's favorite tripod. Bang for the buck at its price. However, be warned that it is pretty heavy so it's not the most portable tripod. This tripod, though, should last you a lifetime. The only upgrade you may want is a new head, though the stock one is sufficient.
