  This is a very simple piece of technology, I was very surprised by how light weight it is. At first it didn't seem to have much to it and I was worried it was cheap but it works great. I read lots of reviews of other products and saw how they did not work or were hard to use. This product is incredibly simple to use and very efficient. I really like that it has the screen to see exactly what you are scanning and I like that it allows you to edit it and crop it right there before saving it. It has a lot of simple option to help adjust old photos and slides. Very impressive. I have not done anything with negatives yet so I can not speak to that but I look forward to carving out the time to get all my old slides and photos digitized before they are completely ruined or lost. I am a little worried as some of the last photos scanned had a white "halo" effect on them from the light in side in the shape of a square imposed on the image, I am hoping it is a fluke thing and will self co...

  This will prompt my husband to attack a long waiting chore of sorting through slides, negatives, and photos....and getting them organized onto small memory cards. It's great that it does all three!!! I'm next in line to use it with the same project. I didn't expect to find such a thing on Overstock......finding a selection and a good one was an unexpected surprise.

  I was able to easily and quickly scan old negatives and slides and convert them to digital images. The only negative that I have concerning the product is that the directions in the manual appear to have been written by someone having English as their second language. They were not very clear or precise. However, figuring out how to operate the scanner is pretty easy.
