  • SVP Silver 35mm Photo Negative ans Slide Converter

    Sep 7, 2010

    tomgeorge  from Michigan, Rating:5.0

I have been able to amuse the family with picture of years past. The converter is a lot of fun to use. When I tried to have old 3 negatives printed I was told it would cost "about $95.00". Now I can print many for a great deal less! Someone came up with a great idea and I'm glad I found it on Overstock! The only adjustment to the product would be is to make a slider for 110 negatives.

  • SVP Film/Slide Converter

    Jul 6, 2010

    wattski  from Farmington, UT, Rating:4.0

The SVP Film/Slide Converter worked first time out of the box. It is easy to use and seems to provide excellent results using the automatic features. There are custom settings if necessary. It is fast in scanning - 1-2 seconds per slide. It takes longer to load the slide/film trays than it does to scan. Extra trays can be purchased separately and are helpful.

I would definitely not advise purchasing this product. The SVP film and slide scanner produces digital reproductions that are quite dark and grainy. Everything we tried made no difference.

  • I Got What I Paid For

    Mar 19, 2010

    createpeace  from Bakersfield, CA, Rating:2.0

As in most cases, I got what I paid for. I was hoping that the scans would produce some sort of half-way decent quality. I was mistaken. It is a self-adjusting contrast and impossible to adjust the contrast in ANY acceptable manner before the final scan. Good concept, just real ugly over exposed results.
