Overall, not a great bargain. No instructions received with it. It was easy to install, just plug it into the USB port, but there is no assistance on which card goes into which slot and in which direction. Most are easy to figure out though. The slots aren't aligned very well with the case. I tested a couple of the slots and it did read them and allow download to computer. Have not downloaded from computer to cards yet. Speed looked okay, but I only had a few photos on the cards, not hundreds. Since installing I keep gettting messages on my computer that the device will run faster if I plug it into a high speed USB port. i've tried all four USB ports on my computer and keep getting the same message and can't figure out how to cancel the message so it goes away and doesn't come back. by the way, it's a brand new Dell computer (one month old), so it's not like it's an outdated system. I bought cheap and got cheap.

This item was cheap even by China standards. It doesn't come with an AC adapter and does not run properly with out it. It does perform at lower speeds but not 2.0

I have a Sony camera which does not have compatible software with my Mac. I had to find a card reader that would accept the memory stick pro, would connect easily & quickly, and then be reliable. This reader has performed very well. Easy connect & eject, no loss of files and very compact. It comes with connection cord. I am very happy with my purchase. A very good value and makes uploading pictures to my laptop a snap!

This piece of equipment looked like a USB Hub without card reading ability at first glance, but when looking closer it was obvious that the card slot were there too! I found the card reader to be very slow, but otherwise; this is a fine piece of equipment...very lightweight....made of plastic, I'd say even though it looks metallic.

Just what I needed to use my XD card from my camera to get my pics on the computer. Works as advertised with my Windows 7 with no problems. Just plug in and use it. AND it was super cheap, they wanted $30 at Best Buy for a very similar product.

Horrible product, it overheats and does not work. PLease do not buy, I hope I could return...

Lasted one day. Worked fine at first but self-destructed. Based on the other reviews (which I did not read before ordering - my bad) I'd say don't bother getting one. Haven't tried returning it yet, but it looks like I'll just trash it.

Doesn't read anything, won't write to anything, hardly recognize anything and hung up my PC each time I tried to access any media in the slots. Got an I/O error each time I tried to do anything and had to go to Task Manager to kill it. It wasn't worth sending it back so I trashed it. Don't waste your money. About the only thing that worked are the three USB ports.

Arrived on time. Very disappointed Card did not work, when I wanted to return my shipping cost was more than the card, I just threw it away. I will not recommend to buy this junk.

AS ADVERTISED

The USB hub periodically drops its connection and I have to unplug it and plug it back it in to get Windows to recognize it again. Can't get the card reader to read anything. I'm running Vista, but haven't had any trouble with any other card readers. Just thought it'd be nice to combine my USB hub with the card reader to save room. Not worth the shipping cost to return it, so I'll be chucking it.

If you need to read Compact flashes - forget it!I have an old SONY card reader and that is really doing what it says.

This product advertises that it reads SmartMedia cards. None of the slots fit my SmartMedia card. It wasn't useful at all in reading my digital camera's card. It makes me wonder if it will work with a variety of other cards it advertises, as it seems to only have 4 slots that fit 4 different sizes.

Does exactly what I needed. Went to work immediately. I like the short USB cable....no mess on the desk! The only "minor" issue is that it takes a little bit of work to get a CF card in...no biggie once you figure it out, though.

Worked for a week. Died after that. Windows doesn't even recognize and tells that it is 'malfunctioning'. Waste of money!

This product was the cheapest in its category and does what it says on the box. Great value.
