Customer Reviews
When I first saw the price for this phone, I was floored because of how inexpensive it was. When it arrived and I began using this product, I became aware of why it was so cheap in the first place. based upon features alone, this phone has the potential to be a great piece of office equipment for a small office/home office. However, the problems with this phone are vast: The display (blue light LCD) is very hard to read in any kind of lighting. The quality of the sound heard from the handset or hands free feature are both poor. There is a constant hissing in the line that was never there before on our old phone. The best features on this phone are the talking caller ID and the calculator. If you are away from the desk filing or working on another task, the talking caller-ID is good to have, but not a necessity. The calculator feature would rank this phone higher, but the poor LCD takes away from this positive attribute as well. I do not recommend this phone for purchase. If it is a gift, say thanks and regift it to someone else as fast as you can.
I almost didn't leave a review as I don't really like complaining, this phone was bad enough that I felt I had to anyway. The buttons on the device rarely work and when they do detect a button press will commonly read the button you pressed 2 and 3 times instead of the once you were trying for. I tried both phones and both acted exactly the same way so this is likely a design flaw and not just a faulty unit.It also was disappointing to find out that the caller id display will ONLY display the number calling in not the name supplied on pretty much every other caller id display I've ever seen. I expected the "talking" feature to read off just the number as that's easy to synthesize but not even on the unit is the name displayed anywhere. The handset also slides off the unit far too easily and hanging the phone up is just short of a balancing act while trying to replace the handset and get it to stay put. The switch that actually disconnects the line when the handset is replaced isn't nearly sensitive enough either. Often the phone appears to be seated properly and is even staying on the phone base as it should but the line was never disconnected. The instructions for setup were clear enough and the only real problem there was the button functions. During setup it was very difficult to get everything set when the buttons were reading 2 and 3 presses half of the time that they worked at all.The phone also requires batteries for many of it's features and does not include any kind of AC connection so you will be burning batteries or doing without lcd and button backlighting, as well as all functions of the phone requiring memory of any settings.I honestly can't think of a single thing about these phones that is good.
Prior to buying these, I had one phone for an eleven room house! All I need is something to ring and be nearby. The ringer is certainly nice and loud. People can hear you and you can hear them through the receiver. You can dial out and get connected. I don't know what else you need from a phone. Although, I should add my sis ter said they look like office phones. Oh well...
LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THESE PHONES EXCEPT IF YOU REACH A NUMBER AND NEED TO PUNCH IN AN EXTENSION, IT WON'T ALLOW YOU TO, MUCH LIKE A ROTARY PHONE. HOWEVER, I LIKED THESE PHONES ENOUGH TO ORDER ANOTHER SET. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ID YOU DON'T MIND THE EXTENSION GLITCH
I liked this phone. It's very sleek and looks really nice. As for function, I think it does it's job. For the price, I couldn't ask for anything more. It fits my needs and it's a great price! I'm happy with my purchase.
