  The description did not state that the device was for a MAC! However, I contacted NeatReceipts and was given the location for download of the PC version of the Software...The hardware is the same for both PC and MAC.

  • How did the image on site compare with the actual product? Good except the depiction did not state that the device was for a MAC!
  • Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? Yes

  This particular SKU, NeatReceipts for Mac, isn't noted clearly in the main description of the item as being 'for Mac'. It's really no big deal because you just have to download the Windows software from the manufacturer website, however, it would have been nice if Overstock.com had made the item description the same as the name of the product. The software is rather processor-intensive so if you have an older computer be prepared to wait a while for each page scanned to be completed. We weren't quite sure how much data from the receipt the software was supposed to be able to recognize. So far we only get totals, really. We thought it would make a list of items, too, but it doesn't seem to. It only gathers the total amount, really. Given a recent computer with a decent processor this software would probably be decently fast.

  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Seems to be good so far.

  Needed a scanner for on the go to scan developed photos, recipes & receipts for travel. A little skeptical about purchasing eletronics online, but a friend had told me about this one at OS.com and said it was working out great for them. So I bite the bullet and have been very pleased with this little gadet. The only thinkg I would add is a carrying case. I bought an off brand one so to keep everything together.
