Secustar Electronic Digital Wall Safe

The safe arrived quickly and well packed. As another review stated, the electronic unlock code did not work. You have to remove a face plate sticker to get to a hidden screw to remove the plastic keypad face plate in order to get to the key slot to be able to get inside the safe to reset the code. The locking mechanism does take up a good bit of room inside the safe. On the safe I received, the locking mechanism is attached to the door with four screws. It appears I received a second as two of the four screws were stripped and do not hold tightly. I did not find this out until after the safe was installed and it was just too much work to remove the safe and send it back to overstock. Before you install the safe, check it over good, both inside and outside. The door to the safe is spring loaded, so you can not leave the safe closed and unlocked as the spring will force the door open.

Great safe -- no need to take up floor space for this one. Somewhat limited in size (the locking mechanism takes up interior storage room). Very easy to use digital key pad. Installation was a bit complicated since our home's wall studs were not spaced properly.

Overall very good in-wall safe. Good quality and value and not too difficult to install. Everything came neatly in a box with all hardware included. The only thing that could be better is the instructions that were very limited. The safe comes locked and without the "preselected" code to open it. Therefore, you need to use the key the first time to get it opened. To do so, you need to completely remove the face plate, but the screw is hidden behind a sticker (not shown in the instructions). It took me quite awhile to figure this out. Now that my code has been put in, It works great and hopefully I will not need to use the key for awhile.
