Sanus SF213-B1 13 to 27-inch Screen Full Motion Wall Mount

This product was a great buy! It was easy to assemble and very strong. I installed the tv mount in my wife's art studio and she can see it from any angle in the room, including sitting down at her desk. The item arrived in just a few days. Overstock is a company I plan on doing business with again.

I purchased this from Overstock.com after I bought a Samsung flat panel television on Black Friday 2009. Overall, I am pretty happy with the mount and feel that I got the value for the money I was looking for. Here is a quick assessment: Pros 1. The installation was straight forward. I would say I am a novice-to-intermediate in terms of skill set and I was able to implement within 30 minutes. This requires a level, drill with drill bits and screwdriver. 2. Viewing area is pretty wide. I have this in a fairly tight space in my kitchen and I am able to view the television with the mount slightly extended as I cook, as well as from the dining table. All in all, this is a spread angle of about 120 degrees. 3. It is very compact. The mount stays fairly flush to the wall and doesn't make the television look like it is extended too far out. Cons 1. The instructions are not very good and you pretty much have to figure it out by looking at the diagrams. Having said that, spend some time making sure you understand the diagrams and take inventory of the parts. It doesn't hurt to do a dry run of putting the pieces together before you start drilling and mounting it to the wall. 2. The vertical tilt needs a washer to keep the television from drooping down. It will only tighten so much before it droops without a washer. My television is pretty light, 14.3 lbs., so it isn't putting much stress on the mount. Afterthoughts 1. The one thing you might want to do is to get someone to check the height of where you are looking to have the television mounted before marking the holes where you will drill and mounting the mount. If you don't do that, you will end up probably re-drilling holes as you re-mount this and the television! 2. Unless you have an electrical box and cable outlet directly next to the mount, you may also want to purchase a flat panel cable/electrical trim plate from the hardware store as it will make the finished project look more pleasing than having the cable and electrical wiring dangling down the wall. Sorry for the way this looks as overstock has a pretty bad editor and application for submitting and viewing the reviews and doesn't allow you to have spacing and carrriage returns to break this up into sections.
