I have been looking for a digitally tuned shower radio for the longest time. I bought this shower radio and was skeptical because I had never heard of the brand. Well, after receiving and using this fine piece of equipment, I recommend it to anyone. This shower radio has great quality, great sounding (not like a transistor radio which all shower radios tend to sound like), excellent tuning and many options. There are station presets on each band and FM has two band channels (AM has one). With the flashlight and weather station, this radio would be great to be used as an natural disaster radio. This also has a built-in flashlight and exclusive weather channel. It has a versatile handle which is how I use it to hang on the shower head itself. Only drawback is its weight, it's a little heavy and uses 2 "D" batteries which makes t heavier. I would give this as a gift to any adult. This was a practical and excellent purchase.

Perfect for outdoor use My husband went through several other radios and ipods by accidentally dropping them in the hot tub. This radio, while old school, is a perfect replacement and has lasted longer than the other ones combined. So glad we found this for him. Am not sure if it is indestructible when submerged in water but so far, so good.

Outstanding value After careful research, I decided to choose the Sangean radio over the Sony competitor. Am I ever glad I did! It is perhaps the best portable radio I have ever owned (in over 40 years). The reception is spectacular in both AM, weather & FM modes, and the battery life is amazing. I listen to it every morning in the shower & when I'm shaving... and I'm still on the original batteries several months after the purchase without any apparent loss of volume. If you need a terrific radio for the price, this is a treasure.

Great Poolside Radio This was purchased for my husband as a Father's Day gift. He wanted a radio to use poolside that could withstand an occasional splash. This item is perfect for that purpose. It is battery operated so there are no cords to plug-in (can be AC if you buy a cord elsewhere - perhaps Radio Shack). There are preset buttons for your favorite stations, AM/FM receiver, digital tuning, a clock and a flashlight (on the side). It also comes with a optional carry strap and a nifty handle on the back. The sound quality is decent. He is able to tune in all of his favorite stations easily. The price paid is well worth the quality received. Thank you overstock.com.

Good buy. This radio is well made and sturdy. It comes with straps for carrying but we opted to use the hanger on its back to secure it to a towel rack in the bathroom. So far so good. The sound quality is quite good and reception is excellent.

I've purchased Sony Shower radios for decades. They wear out quickly, buttons don't engage, etc. For some reason the price on them has recently DOUBLED- ridiculous! Decided to try the Sangean. Most important to me are the preset buttons - that is a MUST HAVE feature.
