I bought 2 SanDisk Sansa e280 8GB Multimedia MP3 Players within 2 weeks. I bought one for my son and when he got it, he told me that it was great. So I decided to buy one too.The player itself is fairly easy to operate. Loading music onto it is a problem because the Sync program is automatic. If I have the song on my computer, the ScanDisc software automatically loads it. If I delete the songs I do not want, the next time I hook it up to my computer to upload more songs, it loads the ones I do not want again. The Sync software should allow me to choose what I want to upload, manually. The other problem is the headphones that come with it, The sound is high quality but they break easily. The left earphone went silent after only 2 weeks. We suspect it was a break in the wire somewhere. He is not hard on his equipment. The wires are just thin and cheap. It is too bad since the ear speakers have a very good sound. The really nice thing about it is that if you load the song onto it, you can easily find it by using the menus on the SanDisk. It holds 2000 songs. My tastes vary widely and I like that I can find what I want, to fit my mood, or let it mix things up for me. There is nothing more fun that listening to an Old Patsy Cline song and then follow it up with a Nickelback tune.
