If you have status needs, go buy an iPod. If you want features, flexibility, ease of operation and quality sound, buy a Sansa (or Toshiba). Despite Jobs' exceptional selling job, these machines are all the same - NAND based music players. I picked the e260 because it was at a good price, you can get a rubber sleve to protect it, it takes up to 2G of additional memory (so no need to fiddle wih libraries), you can transfer music with windows explorer, and it has a load of first-rate extra features (like the voice recorder, the FM tuner, and the ability to play video. Why spend $200 and get none of these so you can have a machine that's green? Apart from the cover, all you need is an extra microSD card or two, a simple attachment that lets you play the e260 on your car stereo, and better ear phones and you'll never need another machine. Also, Sansa's tech support has been great. One call and the ability to show video was solved. You simply can't ask for more at such a price.

I was disappointed that the volume control gives a choice of only NORMAL and LOUD. My 8G Sansa uses the central wheel to adjust across a range of volume and I had presumed this would be the same. Going to the menu to switch between the two choices is rather inconvenient so it will probably always stay on NORMAL even if the particular song would be better if louder. Other than that, it is everything I wanted.

Some difficuly downloading videos onto player. Need to install Sansa Media Converter software from Sansa.com. Haven't gotten back to that to figure out yet. The player doesn't come with a DVD/software. Had to configure my computer to recognize the player, minor trouble doing that but did it and I am not too computer savvy. Overall a good product and value. Player doesn't come with a charger.

Good product, good value even for a refurbished product. An owners manual would have been a bonus, I had to go online to download it. I think it should have been included for the price.

Being refurbished it did not come with factory instructions or software which made it a little harder to understand and use this device. The screen is a little small but it gets the job done. The SanDisk Sansa has 2 feature that I like that are not standard on many other MP3 players. Those features are an FM radio and a MicroSD card expansion slot. The price is great compared to many other MP3 players and I highly recommend this product to other people.

it was broken within a week... don't waste your time or money on this

The event went well. I did not receive the owners manual and instillation cd with the mp3 player. Also I think that a lanyard should have been part of the package. I contacted Overstock via the chat line and had very good response with the needed material e-mailed very quickly. I general I am satisfied and will shop OS again.Thanksbr456

i love this product would definitly recommend it.. the only issue i have is the sound isnt loud enough for where i work with excess noise but it does the job for the price.. besides back ground noises it is a definite seller.. very easy to use and very fast with syncing.. very simple for all ages to understand... well definitly be buyng again..

i was excited when i got such a good deal on this product...but of course it was too good to be true....as SOON as my return time was up the screen would not display any information.....just a white screen. also my radio never worked. Did not have the device for more that 2 months...looks brand new. very disappointed

this is my first mp3 player and I was not sure I would like one. I had to go to the sandisk web site to get the instructions and after a few minutes was able to upload a series of my cds. this product works great and was easy to use (after a little trial and error) great value for the money

Everything from the price to the features, this item knocks the over-priced ipod out of the park. I use the radio frequently, and the sync-ing seems to be much quicker than my old ipod with itunes. It's about half the price. The battery life is superb. I would recommend this to ANYONE who doesn't want to conform to the mp3 pop-standards of regularity. All of my friends who have ipods have been jealous of not only the radio but the recording feature.

Enough memory to load large library of tunes and lots of features for the money. Easy to operate. Holds charge for a long time. Kids have 1G players and want to upgrade. Will likely purchase more.

Excellent little device. Very impressed with easy of operation and quality of this machine. Worked well with Windows Vista* and Vista* normally is a pain with any program. It even automatically detected the software when I connected the USB. Show to neighbor/friend and he got me to order two of them for him and his partner! Display is very clear and very viewable, considering the small size of these player. High recommend. I really think you get a lot for such a resonable price.
