I ordered this memory card reader as part of a digital camera X-mas gift package for my mom. I bought this exact same reader for myself & one for my husband a few months back & we love ours. I wanted to get mom the same one. This one that I ordered for her is identical to ours in every respect except for the fact that you HAVE to install the software that comes with it on your computer before you can use it. With ours, it was just plug & go--installing the software was optional. I'm sure she'll have no problem installing the software & it will work fine once she does, but I just wish she didn't have that limitation. She won't be able to use this reader on just any computer--it will have to have the software installed. If she were just able to plug it into any computer & use it like we can with ours (with or without installing the software), I would have given it a 5 star rating.
