Nice little bedroom or office dvd player. HDMI out very good, and very important. Samsung quality needs no reviews. Outstanding HD picture quality. Running on Sharp 32". HDMI.

I needed to replace an old DVD player,so this Samsung refurbished unit was perfect for now, easy to install with a quality picture and great sound at a very reasonable price.Love the "O" service as well.

I was using our old DVD player (component video) with our new HD TV. The picture wasn't great, in fact it was quite pitiful. The Samsung is basically plug and play. It delivers a crisp picture with my DVDs.The USB feature is great. I can plug in a flash drive and it can read the contents.The remote has a TV and DVD button. If you press the TV button then the TV options on the remote become operational (channels and volume). Make sure you have the DVD buttom pressed, otherwise when you want to fast forward or change chapters it will revert to the TV option and change channels.

I purchased a refurbished DVD player in April. It worked fine until November 2010 of course after the 90 days warranty expired. Now the thing works sporadically. Some DVD's will play one day but the next I get a "Unable to read disc" message. I have taken it into repair hoping that I can salvage it but the same thing happens over and over again. I will think twice before I buy refurbished as well as whether I buy another Samsung. UGH!

I ordered this to replace a DVD player that had died, and I was looking for something functional but inexpensive. I got what I was after, but therre was some initial confusion, as the remote that came with it was not printed in English, so I had no idea what I was looking at (everything was written in strange oriental characters!) I called Overstock, and they quickly mailed me another remote that was in English, but it has a few issues of it's own. The pause button does not pause the DVD, but another random button does. How I figured that out, I have no idea. I would not recommend it for anyone who is easily confused! However, now that we have learned it's quirks, I have to say it plays DVD's just fine, and is quite serviceable.

This was a replacement for an older dvd player that died just before we left on vacation and we needed to replace it fast and cheap for the gentalman that was going to be housitting. It arrived quickly, and has worked well. We have bought refurbished items before from overstock and have had no problems with them, except for the computer we bought and they were always fast and friendly resolving the problems, and we still have the computer after 3 years. We have several Samsung products and have been impressed by their dedication to quality, and this item is no exception to that, and the price was very competative. I would buy this item again from overstock.

This player arrived quickly, was well-packaged, and looks like new. Setup was ridiculously simple, although I did wait to hook it up until I purchased an hdmi cable (which is not included). I was playing a movie within 10 minutes. The unit looks good, too. It's sleek, and has no obnoxious "power light" on the front -- when the machine is off, it's really off. Best of all, I can control both the player and my Samsung television with the same remote -- although other reviewers are right about the tiny buttons. All in all, a terrific buy, and highly recommended.

The machine works very well and is easy to use. It is all that I expected.

Arrived on time in Samsumg box like new. It has worked on everything I have tried. I like the ability to view pictures I have on my Flash drive. fos

I looked at the reviews and decided the DVD player would be a good bargain. It is for the price. The only real complaint that I have is that it makes the images on the screen seem faded or washed out. So it does not have the sharp color that I expect from a name like Samsung

Great quality, everything worked out of the box. I bought two of them for my kids rooms and it is able to read Divx movies as well! Great deal from a great company :)

I really enjoy this player! It performs excellently, the picture on my TV is sharp and clear and a noticeable improvement over a standard DVD player. Both the remote and the player menu have all the options you need to adjust the playback to however you want it, and the USB port is a nice addition. Well worth the price!

The player was delivered much faster than expected and packed securely in the box.The remote, batteries, and instructions were all included. I've only used it twice, but so far it works just fine. Some reviewers cautioned readers about noise, but I've found the device to be relatively quiet---as quiet as my old one ( an RCA player that I bought new from a large discount store and it quit working 6 months after I purchased it ) My TV is a Samsung 720P HDTV, and the Samsung player works perfectly with it. So far I am delighted with this product.

Ordered two of these from Overstock... one at a time. Both had issues with the load tray sticking/not opening, as well as pink screen via HDMI. Was told by Samsung "Don't use HDMI and it'll be fine," but that makes the upconvert irrelevant! I'm going to try the Philips next, with fingers crossed. Fantastic Overstock.com customer service both times, however - keep up the good work!

Simple,easy to use, good quality picture and a good buy.

I also own a Samsung flat panel which I hooked this DVD player to, hookup was simple with the HDMI cable. This unit also works with tv remote control without any special programing. The unit is a little louder then I would like but all in all it works fine and it fits my needs at a very good price.

Easy setup, works just fine, good value for price. Only problem just cosmetic - horizontal plastic strip at outer edge of dvd tray had broken piece and was not attached. It fell to floor when tray opened for the first time.

Didn't play one dvd in its entirety. Had to keep stopping and readjusting. I am extremely disappointed. Don't buy this item.
