My blackjack
from Plano, Texas,  Jan 3, 2009

I waited to buy a cell phone from overstock. I kept watching the prices and this phone I am so pleased with. This is the first phone of this calliber that I have owned and I must say it was above my expectations. I am not into all of the fancy stuff in a phone but I cannot say enough about this one. It has all the bells and whistles. I would highly recommend it!

Wait & See
from N. San Diego County,  Dec 3, 2009

I bought this phone for my granddaughter. She used it for two weeks, and if quit. I have contacted Overstock and the person I talked to said he could not help me as the return period ran out. (it did not last a month). He took my email and phone number, and someone will get back to me. I am in the wait mode now. She did like the phone while it lasted.

Ease of WHAT ?
 from Moore,OK,  Oct 18, 2009

This is my first ' smart phone' , and I bought it here, because I am not able to upgrade til MArch with ATT. My previous was phone, LG CU515, was a flip phone thatdid everything I needed BUT it dropped calls ALL THE TIME, and after a year or more, the stinkin hinge broke ( Ive dropped it a whopping 4 times) , ro where I could NOT see anything on the opened flip screen, but if it was shut, I could at least see the date and time and if I had a text or call/ email/ vm... I couldnt hear anything but people could hear me, and my warranty ran out in July..Figures.So I come here and see the BlackJack and think WOWZA..does alot and then some...My friend has the BlackJack II and raves so I thought cool, Ill take it..even after reading not the most pretty reviews abt it, on line...So I get it and , yes its a refurbish, so no instructions comes with it but a 12 page user guide....So I messed around with it a couple of hours , and had to go to the store because I couldnt make the ring tone loud whowever the alerts coulda shattered glass...VERY ANNOYING...I went to ATT site forum for help and didnt get anything, so I went to another store and the guy walked me thru one heck of a process just to make the ringtines louder, turn the alerts OFF, AND how to clear the cache...I was so embarressed because Im NOT electronics STOOPID, but boy did I feel it...It a LONG process ( longer than this review..HA)...To me this phone is not very user friendly and the keyboard sucks really bad..Way too close together..I keep hitting the wrong button and it goes to the main screen...Luckily tho if you toggle back to whatever app you were at, whatever you were doing is still there...If you have lots of patience ( I dont) and small fingers( I do, but I still hit the wrong or TWO buttons at once) , then this may be for you...READ the reviews online and decide !

Very Nice
 from texas,  Feb 11, 2009

As soon as i received the phone i found out it could be upgraded to Windows mobile 6.1. Found the upgrade info on SAMSUNG's web site. Just followed the instructions step by step as they are a little detailed. I'm still learning all the features but phone works great and does exactly what i bought it for. I can finally take advantage of the 3G network in my area. Love the extra memory you can add. I installed a 4gig micro SD card and phone recognized it with no problem.(wasn't sure whether it would recognize the entire amount of memory) Only wish the main memory on the phone could be a little more but not a big deal overall. I forget meetings and appts. easily and needed something that would sync with outllook to remind me of events and appts., and to also keep up with my kids and their texting. Keyboard takes some getting used to as the keys are a little smaller than i realized but overall its great. Better than me trying to text on a regular numbers keypad.

Wonderful ... BUT...
from Louisville, KY,  Jul 14, 2010

The phone is a wonderful phone. It is by far the best phone that I have ever had. It works great. You can sync your email to come up on this phone. The ring tone is loud and the speaker on it is great. BUT this is the part that was hard. THE BACK OF THE PHONE. When you have to put your sim card in you have to PRY open the back. This was hard as xxxx to do. I could not open the phone to put the card in there. Had to go over to best buy and get them to open the phone. Once they had it open it was fine. Went home and again had the time of my life to open the phone again. At last I was able to open up the back of the phone. So over all I would give this a 5 star rating. BUT the back of the phone is hard to open. Just want you all to know that.

Samsung Blackjack
from Fontana, CA,  Mar 4, 2010

My previous phone was a Samsung Blackjack and the speaker went out. It was out of warranty and i didn't want to pay to have it repaired. I been using it for the past two years and found it to be a really good phone. I like the screen and the key pads are close but I got used to that very quickley. I reviewed other phones that I liked but the price for the blackjack and warranty was a very good deal. This phone works great as a pda and a cell phone. I gave four stars because you can only use Samsung ear phones.

Just ok
from Las Vegas, NV,  Oct 6, 2009

I purchased this phone and It's just ok. I've had some minor problems like the phone freezing every now and then. I would stick with a blackberry. The blackjack is not the worst phone but there are a lot better. I will prob sell mine soon.

As the title of this review indicates, don't waste your money or your time. The device itself is very nice. Sleek, thin, and stylish, but you know what they say, the brighter the picture, the darker the negative. I took it out of the box yesterday and charged it in my office. The user manual recommends 200 minutes to charge. No problem. After the recommended amount of time, I removed it form the charging cable, and went on about my day. I heard it beep at me a while later, so I looked to see if I had missed a call or something. To my surprise it showed that the battery was very low. I plugged it back in for a couple more hours, and unplugged it before heading home. After I reached my house I heard it beep again. Yet another notice that my battery was low. I plugged it in again about 1800 yesterday, and it stayed plugged in until about 0700 this morning. The time right now is 1105, and my phone told me about 30 minutes ago that my battery was low. This is unacceptable. My old Blackberry would go for about 4 days without needing to be plugged in, I can't go 4 hours with this piece of junk. This thing is going back to the factory, I'm not wasting anymore time or effort on it. Thanks for nothing Samsung!
