I was a bit nervous buying a refurbished monitor. However, this Samsung is wonderful! The colors & resolution are wonderful on the monitor. I had no problems at all. For the price, you are getting a really great LARGE monitor! My mom bought one 2 weeks after I bought mine, and she likes hers a whole lot as well.

This is a great monitor. It was easy to install and it works nicely.

If I could I'd have given a rating of 3.5, but the interface doesn't allow that. It's a refurbished item, so there is an inherent risk involved with these things. You could get a pristine unit or you can get one with some wear and tear. Mine happens to have a little wear and tear -- there are some hairline scratches over much of plastic frame. As far as I can tell the screen itself is pristine. No scratches or smudges, no dead pixels. All the buttons work. Display waulity is nice and crisp. This model also has a digital contrast ratio of 3000:1 so that was a happy surprise (I was happy to be getting a 2ms 1000:1 for this price, that it's capable of 3000:1 with DVI makes it that much better). So for ~$50-$100 off the market price I'm generally happy with the item. Would have been nice to get the lcucky draw and get a pristine unit but at least it seems to work fine. Would have given it a 4.5 if the frame hadn't have had these scratches.
