what is "dvd up-conversion"? does this play dvd's or not? i'm not looking for a blu ray player, but cannot find any just dvd players...
So far no issues playing Blu-ray discs. The Netflix and Hulu apps are more reliable than the ones on my Vizio TV. My only complaint with the apps is that they take about 15 seconds to give a visual queue that they've launched. The buttons on top are a little weird but not a problem most of the since I'm using the remote. I wish the remote had a keyboard so that I wouldn't have to select each letter when signing into an app. Finally, the the biggest problem I've had is that I had to contact Hulu support to get the device to stay signed in permanently. I don't know if that's a problem with the device or with Hulu. Also, keep in mind that if you want to use the screen sharing ability, you have to have a Samsung device. It won't work with just any mobile device.
