So my first refurb experience was better than this one. Technically, this monitor works perfectly- so there's that. However: * It came missing it's circular plastic cover in back. Fortunately, I was going to remove it to mount it anyway. * It came with a setting of 100% brightness, causing me concern about lifetime already used up on it's backlight. * It was dirty and slimy with grime. Looked like the previous owner wiped boogers under it. Gross. Had to sterilize it. I hope they improve their refurb process to include cleaning in the future.

This refurbed item that I received was clearly never truly tested or fixed. The analog input works, but the DVI does not. The internal EDID information on the monitor was defective, resulting in a "native" resolution of 1024x768, NOT the true native 1920x1200. ANY sort of real QA testing would have spotted these defects. I am quite sure the original owner saw these same problems and sent the monitor back. Upon getting the refurb monitor Overstock or Samsung or whoever just plugged it into an analog port and saw a picture, dusted their hands off, and sent it back out. Thanks for nothing. I was able to fix the problem by just using analog and forcing the correct 1920x1200 resolution through my display drivers (although this took some registry editing in order to accomplish). I was just going to let this go, since I had managed to fix the monitor well enough for my purposes, but Overstock sent me a nice spam email asking me to review the product, so here I am. I am sure Overstock will eventually delete this post once some staff member gets around to reading it in between vigorous QA sessions.

Worked Great for 5 months. Now has a pink line down the middle, dead line of pixels.

I bought this monitor about a week ago. Has great color and will do 1080p for blue ray. The stand is very simple though.

Great deal from Overstock - Nice monitor ... The only issue for an advanced user is color calibration. Colors look wonderful to the un trained eye, but as most DESIGNERS know LCDs need a load of work to get your colors correct.
