Brilliant
from Ithaca, NY,  Apr 24, 2009

The monitor represents colors very well for a TFT Matrix LCD, the viewing angles are great. Many LCDs advertise viewing angles of 170 degrees, but this one actually has viewing angles close to that. I can see 140 degrees from the horizontal without change in image clarity. Not only does it perform great, it's a sexy looking monitor too. Touch screen buttons, which can be annoying but look awesome, thin black frame, and minimalist stand make this monitor an aesthetically pleasing choice.

A satisfactory product
 from Atlanta,  Jun 18, 2009

Bought a refurbished product. Use it daily.Pros:*Price* The reduced price is excellent. A monitor with 2M+ pixels for a price/pixel less than mainstream monitors with less resolution (i.e. cheaper than the cheapest.)*Size* The extra wide screen is helpful especially with windows 7. One can easily place two half-sized windows near each other. The windows are the near standard size (width) for notebooks. This is an interesting option for parallel processing of text and graphics documents, virtual desktops and control environments.Cons:*Package* The monitor seems to be fit the specifications. The VGA cable was defect. Probably, this was the reason for refurbishing in the first place. As they check monitor the cable is obviously out of sight. Particularly the monitor sleep mode didn't turn on, the color tinting was occurring if cable is moved or touched. I've replaced the cable and all problems are gone.*Color* By default the monitor has a slight red shift. Gray and black letters appear to be dark-brown. It can be tweaked to normal appearance. Though, it costs the dynamic band of lightness/contrast/color.*Control* The setup tweaks require some time. The operation of OSD in dimmed room isn't optimal. The capacitive buttons have no tactile dots to place and center the fingers on. The color setup in a lighted room makes less sense.*Tilt* The monitor is nearly going to brake if you try to tilt it by swinging the enclosure.

Bought two of these beauties to put side by side and i must say i dont think i could have made a better purchase for the price. The screens light up briiiight!! i used to think my laptop had a great color aspect ratio and now when i have the laptop open next to these two monsters it looks so dark that if i didnt know any better i would swear my laptops screen is broken or something. GREAT BUY, and looking forward to getting another!

How it survived the trip across country is beyond
from Uxbridge, MA,  May 14, 2009

My employer has purchased a few of these monitors new, which made me a fan right away. The refurbs are not packed the same way. There is minimal packaging, some of which was destroyed in transit. Stuff was rattling around inside the box when I got it. Much to my surprise, though, everything worked. The picture is terrific and the style is great. The cable clip was not included, but both VGA and DVI cables were.

samsung 2343 23 inch monitor
from Winnipeg, Mb.,  Sep 24, 2010

I have four of these beauties. one is used for my daily work and the other three are set up in the eyefinity ATI setup for gaming. The resolution is excellent. I believe it is as good as 1920X1200. For some stupid reason Samsung has discontinued their monitors above the 1080 setup. Smarten up Samsung. This baby was the best monitor for money you had on the market.

Discontinued
from Atlanta, GA,  Jul 17, 2010

Unfortunately Samsung has discontinued all their monitors that are above 1920 X 1080 ( 1080i ). This monitor is awesome, I bought one last year and just got lucky with finding one here. I would buy 2 more if I could find them for $199 ( which is what I paid for my first one new in the box ).

Love it!
from Fresno, CA,  Mar 5, 2010

I have two of these monitors. The one I bought new, works like a charm! The other one I got refurbished, and I received it with a scrambled screen. I am about to inform Overstock.Com of this problem. The monitor I have which works, is the best screen I've ever had in my life, and I've bought screens for many clients. This thing rocks my world! I'm extremely happy with the working one. BUT!!! The non-working one is very annoying, which is the one I'm reviewing. I'll still give it 5 stars, but I'll check back and inform you again regarding Overstock.com's return behavior.

Great Purchase
from Pittsburgh, PA,  Jun 18, 2009

The product was as described. The picture quality is excellent ... very sharp and crisp. The monitor itself is very stylish. Although a refurbished product, the price was still a bargain. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that there was no user manual.
