all my friends thought it was a blue-ray player. I had a HDMI cord so it wasn't a problem for me when they didn't send one. Works great, love it, would buy another one in a heart beat if mine broke for some reason. I love overstock.com

My DvD player is nice an compact. Easy to set-up and use. Refurbished doesn't come up in conversaton. It's a definite keeper.

I purchased this DVD player to replace my old one. I thought that it was a great deal with awesome features. When it arrived, I found the usual red, white and yellow cords and fully expected the player to work. While it had a great picture, there was no sound. I got back on the web site and read the same review that is still posted by the lady that bought this for her son. She stated that her player didn't come with the HDMI cable, but she contacted Overstock, and they made good on sending the cable. Well, I contacted overstock and they told me that since this item is refurbished, they are not required to send the extra cables that you need for the DVD player to function properly. I didn't address the posted review... I said ok, and ordered my HDMI cable. I just got my HDMI cable in the mail, hooked it up and it still doesn't work. Apparently, there is another cord that is required for the audio output which I can not locate on this web site. If the cords were not going to be provided, they should have said so on the product page. And at the very least, advise the customer as to what cords will be needed for the player to fully work. I order from Overstock every month, and I can honestly say, I will never buy another refurbished anything from them.

This was a gift for my son the only problem is they forgot to send the HDMI cable a must to upconvert overstock made good on it and shipped him one he loves it . I would reccomend this ssite to everyone.
