Overall it was ok. The images were quite sharp but the sound was never right. Sound would drop out after only a few seconds of replay. The on/off button is located in an anoying spot that requires two hands to turn it on - one to hold the camera securley and the other to press the tiny button on the top of the camera.The shutter/video button was located in the center of the control button group and unless you had tiny fingers it was difficult to press only the "take picture/video" button. It did not have onboard rechargable batteries and required two AAs. I did not have it long enough to see how long they last. I sent it back and asked for a refund towards another camcorder of different make.

Pros Quality is excellent in lighted areas Quantity is excellent with 8GB memory card Sound is excellent too - Recorded sound sometimes buzzes, but possibly highly sensitive Easy to switch from - video to photo to play to sound recorder (Mode) - probably never use sound recorder by itself Easy to remove media through automatic computer recognition (Vista) without having to remove memory card Lightweight, with carrying bag Lots of Menu options, including capability of changing picture sizes (5 options) and video sizes (3 options) Cons Extremely poor videos/pictures in low light areas even with flash No eye viewer, except screen Uses akaline AA batteries (don't last), but purchased rechargeable batteries Prefer case, instead of carrying bag (my preference) Battery plate cover appears slightly fragile No software/only decoder (HD-DV Decoder/renders OK) - not sure if this is standard Definitely lacks some type of editing/burning software Video in MP4 (MPEG-4), which is not shareable with others unless burned on DVD or converted - not sure if this is standard Overall: I plan on experimenting further as this is my very first camcorder and I am very satisfied with purchase price

My nine year old is using this nifty little camcorder and camera and enjoying it a lot. It's easy to use and seems to be of good quality. I recommend it and think it's a great deal for the price.

very easy to set up,a little tricky when changing modes(video to still camera),good video(but needs good light to capture all the details) , microphone is very sensitive. performs as advertised and a great deal for the parent to catch all the kids special events.the small size allows you to carry it anywhere and be ready when that "I wish I had my camera" moment pops up!

I just recived camcorder today. I found the camcorder easy to figure out. The picture was better than i thought. I down loaded video to my computer the video was slow. The picture was good. I need to read the manuel to figure out how to slow the speed. Overall good camcorder for the price.
