Fine for Home Use
Overall good value for money. Very easy to use and setup. Pictures can be previewed before deciding to scan. The overall quality of the scanned image is good, but if you want to print out a photo some touch up will be required. We are scanning all of our 35mm negatives that have been stuffed into a box for about 10 years. It is a slow process, but fun and easy.

Could be good, but flawed
Great idea for a product, but it falls short. Not sure if I just got a bad unit, or if this is common to all products like this. At this price point, I wasn't expecting pro results, but I the resulting scans were unusable even for a consumer grade product. An uneven transparency backlight meant that one side of the negative being scanned was too bright, effectively ruining every negative scanned. Cheap build quality. The interface is poorly documented, but its pretty simple to figure out as there aren't too many options. Otherwise it was easy to use, and the fact that it could be used without being tethered to a computer is a huge plus.
