Very compact, lightweight and over-all a good video cam. Menus and buttons are somewhat smaller than desirable and can be a bit awarkward and challenging to operate. Hands-free remote for operating the camera from short distances away is a wonderful and useful feature. Features rating would probably be 5-star if menus were more intuitive, buttons less cumbersome and the focus of this device's functionality was placed on the camera itself rather than the add-on games and music player-- and it would likely have made the price just a bit better than it already is. But, if you're vacationing and not concerned with conserving the batteries, the MP-3 player is nice and earphones come with the camera. One of the best things about this camera is that storage for both videos and still shots (and MP-3 audio if you use it) is a removable memory chip ( 8 GB) so the camera size need not be larger to accomodate a tape or DVD and the overall storage size is MORE than would be provided by either of those media. The screen, while compact, is an adequate size for the camera itself and the quality is good. The camera is small enough to fit a shirt pocket or easily fit in a purse and for the features and size is a really good value.
