I was given an older PowerMac, and have appreciated the opportunity to work in the Mac environment. It is wonderful stuff, except for finding upgrade parts. Most vendors are not real specific about which Mac or OS their device is compatible with. SMC's website said this would work, though there is nothing in their user guide that mentions it. The driver is on the disk (or can be downloaded from the chip mfg.). However, it has to be altered. It was only minor nuisance, but actually interesting--you have to download a binary editor, and change one value in the driver so it works with this card. It was easy to do.
