SIIG's FireWire 3-Port PCI I/O is a cost-effective product designed to add 3 high-speed FireWire 400 (1394a) ports to your desktop computer. This FireWire 3-Port host adapter delivers data transfer rates of up to 400Mb/s, supports both asynchronous and isochronous data transfer modes, and allows you to hot-swap devices (connect and disconnect) without first turning your system off. It works seamlessly with a variety of FireWire 400 (1394a) devices including DV camcorders, hard disk drive enclosures, memory card readers, CD-RW/DVD-RAMs, and FireWire enabled audio/video devices such as TVs and set-top boxes.
The FireWire 3-Port PCI I/O host adapter comes with three external 6-pin (1394a) ports. It is designed with a single VIA VT6306 chip and is fully compliant with PCI Plug-n-Play 2.2 specification and fully supports IEEE 1394-1995 and 1394a-2000 and 1394 OHCI 1.1 standards. It is also FCC Class B (DoC) & CE regulatory approved and RoHS-compliant.
The FireWire 3-Port PCI I/O is fully compatible with a wide variety of Windows operating systems and is backed by SIIG's limited lifetime warranty.
