I've run this speaker wire under the house and through many walls to several rooms, connected through a speaker selector from the 2nd (stereo) output of my home entertainment unit (i.e., a 5.1 channel receiver), and connected it to stereo speakers in the kitchen, in the backyard, in the living room, and in the playroom, so we can have music throughout the house. The wire covering is very soft and flexible, but adequate thickness that I'm not worried about the insulating properties. It's high-quality cable and is certainly not the weak link in my setup.
