I recently constructed a game room where a 20' by 25' storage shed used to be in my back yard. In a effort to save money i came to Overstock for my stereo needs. I bought the above speakers for my front speakers and a smaller pair of the SDAT speakers for my rear speakers. After looking at the reviews I bought the Technical Pro Digital Hybrid Amplifier w/ AM-FM tuner (1500 watts I think) And WOW was I shocked the first time I cranked it up. The sound was brain rattling. I hooked this up to an infocus DLP projecter and through Hi def direct TV and it is like having your own movie theater. The Hi Def DVD player also is a good investment. If you are looking for digital surround sound, do not buy the Technical Pro Digital Hybrid Amplifier w/ AM-FM tuner, it is in straight stereo, but when I am watching a movie on a 108" movie screen with 1500 watts of sound, I really don't care if I can hear a bird chirp in the background in one particular scene. All in all I have less money invested in my projecter, stereo, speakers and screen than a friend of mine recently bought a plasma tv for and retail stores want 400 bucks per speaker for something comparable to the pair of speakers listed above.
You will not go wrong in buying these, but beware make sure you get a receiver with enough power to push these spekers.
