    • Good bang for your buck

      I already had the LEB-404 stereo speakers, so I got this matching set to complete my surround sound setup. These speakers are comparable to a lot of the mid-priced brands, and are very superior to mini-cubes or other tiny speakers that come with home-theater-in-a-boxes. This set could work well as main speakers for an office or bedroom, but would not work well as main speakers for a living room. As surround speakers, they are great. Good luck finding another 3 speaker set as good for twice the price of this one.

      Unlike some other reviewers, I found no loose parts on these speakers and they are much better constructed than I expected. They deliver very good sound for their size and especially for their price. I would recommend these over any speakers with plastic housing.

    • For the money you can't beat them

      I bought a set of these, last Christmas for my son's home thearter system, He has a very nice Sony 7.1 suround amp tuner. 100w per channel, These's speakers work great with his system. wanted black, back in christmas but they only had wood grain back then.. It is now Aug, and they are still work great, and no problems.. Also bought a set of SDat tower speakers, at the same time, and they are working great also, after two months, bought another set of towers, for the system. awsome sound for the price....

    • Good Sound, Poor Craftmanship...

      I got to admit that price was the main driver when I got this set of speakers. So, I was not expecting anything near-Bose quality, ok? In fact, I was replacing a nice set of JBL speakers I had for a long time and they were in a pretty bad shape. I did read the reviews and the claims about the poor craftmanship on these speakers and even so, I decided to run my chances. The reviews were right on the money. The speaker came nicely packed, but the quality of material was less than average. While unpacking, I've noticed a rattling sound inside the center speaker. So, I decided to unscrew one of the cones to find out where is rattling coming from. Surprise!, I found several of the screw that were supposed to hold the speaker's cone out of place, but hanging from the cone's magnet. Second, after I removed the cone, I've discovered there were loose "wood" pieces inside the center speaker. Anyway, after this ordeal, I finally put everything together and I must admit the sound was better than I expected. Thank God, otherwise I would have seriously considered to return this set of speakers. One very positive note, they came with a nice long set of audio cables. Bottomline, they are cheap because they CHEAP.

    • SDAT Hi-Fi 3-piece Surround Speaker Set

      The connectors in the back of the speakers a cheap and the speakers themselves look and feel inexpensive. I wish the center speaker was a little wider and longer so you can place a flat panel tv stand on top of it. Now all things a side the sound quality of the speakers are good for most home owners with home theaters systems you most likely would never tell the difference. Don't purchase the speakers for people the produce their own music because you can notice the difference between the SDAT and High-end speakers.
